If you’d like to scrub in with the procedures you will have to get registered with the General Medical Council first (www.gmc-uk.org). It is your own responsibility to apply for this registration! This is a long process and for instance includes taking an English language test.
The dress code in the UK hospitals is suit and tie.
Hospital accommodation is not provided but information can be found via the honorary Contracts team, or airbnb.com
London has an extensive public transport system (www.tfl.gov.uk). This is by far the best way to get around town.
