Mr Neil Bulstrode is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who has been the Head of the Department of Plas2c and Reconstruc2ve surgery at the world renowned paediatric hospital Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. Consultants from GOSH and The Royal Free Hospital have agreed to facilitate the fellows of the DAFPRS (their names are listed in the schedules below). This means that the fellow is allowed to join them in their operating lists and clinics in several hospitals spread out over the city of London and will include the reconstructive surgery performed at GOSH and also observing the named consultants in their private aesthetic practices:

Honorary contracts for the duration of the fellowship at GOSH will be administered by the Honorary Contracts Team.

If you’d like to scrub in with the procedures you will have to get registered with the General Medical Council first (www.gmc-uk.org). It is your own responsibility to apply for this registration! This is a long process and for instance includes taking an English language test.

The dress code in the UK hospitals is suit and tie.

II. Accommodation

Hospital accommodation is not provided but information can be found via the honorary Contracts team, www.doctorhouse.co.uk or airbnb.com

III. Transportation

London has an extensive public transport system (www.tfl.gov.uk). This is by far the best way to get around town.
